Gary Dunnington, M.D. joined the faculty at the Indiana University School of Medicine in August of 2012, where he is the Jay L. Grosfeld Professor and Chair of Surgery. He received his M.D. degree from Indiana University and completed his surgical training at the University of Arizona. Dr. Dunnington came to IU after 15 years at the University of Southern Illinois, where he served since 2000 as the Professor and Chair of Surgery. Read More »

Sean Dowdy, MD

Dr. Sean C. Dowdy received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Cornell University in 1993 and graduated from Medical School at Georgetown University in 1997. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester in 2001, where he went on to complete his fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology in 2004. In 2005 he received advanced training in laparoscopic oncology in Berlin, Germany and Lille, France while under the mentorship of Dr. Achim Schneider, Dr. Christhardt Kohler and Dr. Eric LeBlanc. Read More »

Cheryl Iglesia, MD
Dr. Cheryl B. Iglesia, Professor in the Departments of Ob/Gyn and Urology at Georgetown University School of Medicine, is a double-board certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery specialist.  Since 1999, Dr. Iglesia has been the inaugural Director of the Section of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) at MedStar Washington Hospital Center/MedStar National Center for Advanced Pelvic Surgery (NCAPS) and is the founding director of the MedStar/Georgetown accredited FPMRS fellowship program. Read More »

Marcela del Carmen, MD, MPH
Marcela G. del Carmen, MD, MPH is Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School, holds a dual appointment in the Department of Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and Chief Medical Officer of the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization (MGPO). In that role, she leads over 3,200 MGPO physician members. Dr. del Carmen is the first woman and Latino to ascend to the academic rank of Professor in of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology. Read More »
